Baseball Game Preview: Wheeler Bearcats vs. Westville Blackhawks

Wheeler is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Westville a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Wheeler Bearcats will be playing at home against the Westville Blackhawks at 5:00 p.m. Wheeler has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Wheeler came up short against Hobart and fell 12-7.

Blake Laba was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Cutka, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Westville fell victim to Boone Grove and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Wolves, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Blackhawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Westville's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Wheeler, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

Wheeler took their victory against Westville in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 8-1 score. Will the Bearcats repeat their success, or do the Blackhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
