Softball Recap: Highland Falls Short of Hanover Central in the Playoffs

Highland and Hanover Central squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Highland had to settle for second. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Highland saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Skylar Zoeteman, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Hanover Central, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-12.

Highland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hanover Central, they will take on Columbia City at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
