Richard Wright Public Charter School suffers 11th straight loss at home

On Thursday, the Richard Wright Public Charter School Spartans faced the DC International Dragons in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Richard Wright Public Charter School took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of DC International. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Richard Wright Public Charter School in their matchups with DC International: they've now lost six in a row.
DC International had a senior duo take command as Jordan Mason scored 19 points and Damani Gross scored 13 points. The contest was Mason's sixth in a row with at least ten points.
Richard Wright Public Charter School bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.9 points per game. As for DC International, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
Richard Wright Public Charter School will head out on the road to face off against KIPP DC Legacy College Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. DC International won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against National Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on December 15th. National Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
