Basketball Recap: Gibbs Comes Up Short

Gibbs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 62-49 to the Knoxville Central Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-40 back in December of 2024.

Gibbs' loss dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Knoxville Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-14 record this season.

Coming up, Gibbs will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Union County at 6:00 p.m. Knoxville Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
