Basketball Recap: McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs vs. Covenant Knights
The McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Covenant 76-39 at home. Winning may never get old, but McKinney Christian Academy sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Covenant lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Josh Hook, who scored seven points.
McKinney Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. As for Covenant, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.
McKinney Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shelton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 797th, while the Mustangs are ranked 353rd). As for Covenant, they will head out on the road to take on the Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
