            Baseball Recap: Weiser Wolverines vs. Parma Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Weiser was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They took  an  8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Parma Panthers. The Wolverines were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won  17-7.

 Weiser saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Weston Black, who  went 1-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  runs. Black is becoming a predictor of the Wolverines' success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is 2-1 (and 3-11-1 when he doesn't).
Weiser's record now sits at 5-12-1. As for Parma, their victory  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 7-11.
 Weiser and Parma could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage  in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings. The Wolverines will  challenge  Cole Valley Christian  at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday with a big rank  disadvantage  (57 vs. 6). Meanwhile,  Parma (ranked 69th) will meet Homedale (ranked 13th)  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
