Football Recap: Trinity Christian Skates Past Wayne Christian with Ease

Trinity Christian's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They breezed past the Wayne Christian Eagles to the tune of 47-3. The contest marked the Crusaders' most dominant win of the season so far.

Trinity Christian had a senior duo take command as Anthony Farrior picked up 91 receiving yards and a pair of TDs and Jaden Clifton rushed for 78 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

Trinity Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Makijah Latiker and Dontario Austin. Austin has been hot for a while, having also posted nine or more total tackles the last 16 times he's played. Baganley Donzo was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks and making five total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Trinity Christian's record now sits at 4-1. As for Wayne Christian, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian will host Ravenscroft at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Crusaders their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Wayne Christian, they will be playing at home against Washington County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
