Football Recap: Trinity Christian Skates Past Wayne Christian with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against High Point Christian Academy, Trinity Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the Wayne Christian Eagles to the tune of 47-3. The game marked the Crusaders' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Leading Trinity Christian to victory were Anthony Farrior and Jaden Clifton. Farrior picked up 91 receiving yards and two TDs, while Clifton rushed for 78 yards and one score on only nine carries.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Trinity Christian's defense and their three sacks. Baganley Donzo refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Trinity Christian got some further help from Dontario Austin: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Trinity Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Wayne Christian, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Trinity Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 49-7 victory against Ravenscroft on the 10th. As for Wayne Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-21 loss against Washington County on the 10th.
