Randolph and Cattaraugus-Little Valley pushed the score to 12-9 the last time they played Cattaraugus-Little Valley, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Cardinals came out on top in a nail-biter against the Timberwolves, sneaking past 2-0. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Timberwolves, too.
The result came thanks to Ryanne Bushey's shutout, as she gave up just a hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grace Arnold-Hill, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie S.Steward, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.
The win got Randolph back to even at 9-9. As for Cattaraugus-Little Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
