Soccer Game Preview: Friendship vs. Fillmore

Friendship is 0-6 against Fillmore since September of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Golden Eagles will head out to face off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Friendship came up short against Genesee Valley and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Friendship can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 425th, while Genesee Valley are ranked 163rd).

Meanwhile, Fillmore had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.6 goals) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They blew past the Panthers 5-2. Considering Fillmore have won seven contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Friendship's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Fillmore, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Friendship suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Fillmore when the teams last played back in September. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
