Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbia). Everything went their way against the Clearview Clippers on Monday as the Columbia Raiders made off with an 80-55 victory. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Clippers are ranked 723rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Columbia got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Bree Heidecker out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 19 boards. That's the most points Heidecker has posted since back in November of 2024. Kaitlyn Miller was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Columbia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 12 consecutive matches.

Columbia has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Clearview, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-15.

Columbia will be playing in front of their home fans against Oberlin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Columbia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55 points per game this season. As for Clearview, they will square off against Wellington at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wellington will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Clearview surely won't give up without a fight.
