Flag Football Recap: North Oconee Has No Trouble Against Jackson County

The North Oconee Titans made easy work of the Jackson County Panthers on Wednesday and carried off a 28-7 win. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia flag football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Panthers are ranked 50th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for North Oconee and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 14 points in those games. As for Jackson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Coming up, North Oconee will face off against Cedar Shoals at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Titans 11.5, the Jaguars 7.6) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Jackson County, they will challenge Walnut Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
