Baseball Recap: Goddard Comes Up Short

Goddard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavemen/Cavegirls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-1 last Friday.

Goddard saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Duer, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Goddard's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Carlsbad, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cavemen/Cavegirls beat Goddard by a score of 3-2 later that day.
