Volleyball Recap: Mount St. Mary Falls Short Against Ranked Community Christian

Mount St. Mary faced Community Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Rockets took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Royals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Friday.

Ella Hale paced Mount St. Mary's offense, picking up 23 kills. Hale got some help from Jentri Denwalt and her 30 assists.

Community Christian can attribute much of their success to Emma Rogers, who had ten digs and two assists.

Mount St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Community Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Mount St. Mary has already played their next matchup (against Booker T. Washington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Community Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Oklahoma Christian on the 19th.
