Baseball Recap: Water Valley Takes a Loss

Water Valley and New Site squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Water Valley had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Royals by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Blue Devils couldn't push the score so high this time.

Water Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for New Site, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

While Water Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
