Softball Game Preview: West Jefferson Panthers vs. Teton Timberwolves

The West Jefferson Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Teton Timberwolves at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: West Jefferson has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Teton will arrive with four straight victories.

West Jefferson lost 18-7 to North Fremont on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Teton got the win against South Fremont on Tuesday by a conclusive 13-2. The Timberwolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by ten runs or more this season.

Jimmi Williamson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had over her last five matches. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Kara Webster was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Brinlee Albertson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

West Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Teton, their record is now 10-7.

West Jefferson couldn't quite finish off Teton in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 and fell 10-8. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
