Basketball Recap: Westtown Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Westtown entered their match against Hill School on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Westtown fell just short of the Hill School Rams by a score of 60-57. While losing is never fun, Westtown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Hill School is ranked fifth).

Westtown's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. As for Hill School, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Westtown and DeMatha will round out the year against one another at at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. DeMatha is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.1 points per game this season. As for Hill School, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Springside at 3:30 p.m. on January 5, 2025.
