Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Hardin). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the North Hardin Trojans on Thursday, sneaking past 9-7. The win continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Chase Price, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Chase Higdon also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Central Hardin's record is now 2-6. As for North Hardin, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Hardin will welcome Breckinridge County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Breckinridge County's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Central Hardin's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Hardin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hart County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
