Softball Recap: Dublin Comes Up Short

Dublin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They came up short against the Breckenridge Buckaroos, falling 17-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Buckaroos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 back in March.

Adriana Stewart was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Cassidy Adair, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Dublin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Breckenridge, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dublin is set to take on their familiar foe Eastland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Breckenridge will square off against rival Peaster at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
