Softball Recap: Petaluma Takes a Loss

Vintage hit Petaluma with a five-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Trojans fell just short of the Crushers by a score of 8-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Bella Hudson and Lauren Wilson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Hudson went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Wilson went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Taylor Pellonari, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Petaluma's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Vintage, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Petaluma nor Vintage have any future games scheduled.
