Preview: Kingston Tigers vs. Wallkill Panthers

The Kingston Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Wallkill Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kingston has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since September 2.

Kingston started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Pine Bush. They took a 35-19 bruising from the Bushmen on Friday.

Meanwhile, Wallkill suffered a rough 42-20 loss at the hands of Goshen Central on Friday. Wallkill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Chris Bartolone, who threw for 272 yards and three touchdowns. Ryan Rauschenbach was in the mix too, providing Wallkill with two touchdowns.

Kingston's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. As for Wallkill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Kingston against Wallkill in their previous matchup back in October of 2017 as the team secured a 39-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kingston since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
