Volleyball Recap: Santa Fe Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

While Santa Fe's victory against Green Ridge wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Chiefs skirted past the Tigers 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chiefs have posted against the Tigers since August 27, 2018.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Santa Fe got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 25-21.

Santa Fe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mia Lark led the charge by getting 18 digs and two assists. Lark is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Jacey Wilsie, who had 12 digs and three aces.

Santa Fe pushed their record up to 2-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Green Ridge, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Santa Fe and Green Ridge will both be playing Lafayette County the next time they take the court. The Chiefs will host the Huskers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Tigers will host them at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
