Lake Brantley has gone 9-1 against Lake Mary recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lake Brantley Patriots will be home for the holidays to greet the Lake Mary Rams at 7:30 p.m. Lake Brantley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.5 points per game this season.

Lake Brantley is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Olympia just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Titans an easy 72-52 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Patriots have suffered since November 18th.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Julian Vargas, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Taitum Tasker, who put up 11 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Mary). They breezed by Lyman to the tune of 72-27 on Wednesday. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 475th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lake Mary's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Lake Brantley, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-4.

Lake Brantley didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Lake Mary when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 66-62 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Lake Mary's Jeremias Berchal, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 21 points and eight steals.
