Volleyball Recap: Machias Triumphs + How To Watch

Machias's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Calais Blue Devils, sneaking past 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Bulldogs' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Machias took Calais into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 24-26, 17-25, 15-10.

Machias found their leader in sophomore Myra Look, who had seven digs and four aces. Look is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Despite the loss, Calais still got an impressive performance from Addison Ellsmore, who had five digs and two aces.

Machias' victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Calais, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.

As of now, neither Machias nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
