Baseball Recap: Manchester Gets the Win

The Manchester Red Hawks earned a 6-1 win over the Avon Falcons on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Hawks.

Dallas Manganello spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits.

At the plate, Ethan Ramsdel was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Anthony Osella, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Manchester back to even at 2-2. As for Avon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester will welcome Lewis Mills at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Avon, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Enfield at 3:45 p.m.
