Softball Recap: East Providence Townies vs. Chariho Chargers

East Providence lost against Chariho back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The East Providence Townies lost 12-2 to the Chariho Chargers. East Providence has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shelby Quinn made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.

On Chariho's side, Adriana Jeannenot was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Jeannenot has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive pitching appearances. Jeannenot was even better at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Chariho let Kaelyn Comerford and Erin O'Leary loose on the outfield. Comerford scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while O'Leary scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Daniels, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

East Providence's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Chariho, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-10.

As of now, neither East Providence nor Chariho have any future games scheduled.
