Boardman hadn't done well against Harding recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Spartans secured a 14-10 W over the Raiders. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 19-14 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the defeat, Harding saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyler Smith made ten total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Boardman's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Harding, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
