Basketball Recap: Glenn Comes Up Short

Glenn lost against Cerritos back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Glenn Eagles were outmatched by the Cerritos Dons and fell 93-35. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1122nd, while the Dons are ranked 510th).

Glenn has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Cerritos, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenn will welcome Oxford Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Glenn is facing Oxford Academy at the right time seeing as Oxford Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Cerritos, they will be playing at home against Whitney at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Whitney will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cerritos surely won't give up without a fight.
