Baseball Game Preview: West Linn Lions vs. Tigard Tigers

For the second straight game, West Linn will face off against Tigard. The Lions will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. West Linn's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Tigard's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

It was a proper cat-fight when West Linn faced off against Tigard on Wednesday. The Lions took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

For Tigard's part, Ryan Frye looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Frye also tossed no walks, which is notable because the Tigers are 7-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-11-1 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Conner Reilly was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Conner Bok, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

West Linn's loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-5. As for Tigard, their victory bumped their record up to 11-13-1.
