Basketball Recap: Raleigh Takes a Loss

Raleigh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Puckett Wolves, falling 52-8. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent loss being a 35-23 defeat back in January.

Caili McAfee was her usual excellent self, going 7 of 15 to rack up 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals for Puckett. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley-Ryan Smith, who went 5 for 10 en route to 10 points and six boards.

Raleigh's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Puckett, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Raleigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Puckett, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 49-36 defeat against Pisgah on the 6th.
