Basketball Game Preview: Lakota Raiders vs. Woodmore Wildcats

Lakota hasn't had much luck against Woodmore recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lakota Raiders will host the Woodmore Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Lakota knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Woodmore likes a good challenge.

Lakota will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Elmwood, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. Lakota took down Elmwood 62-45 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Woodmore came up short against Hopewell-Loudon on Friday and fell 50-43. The Wildcats have struggled against the Chieftains recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Lakota's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Woodmore, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Lakota strolled past Woodmore when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 49-31. Will Lakota repeat their success, or does Woodmore have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
