Softball Recap: Silverado Takes a Loss

Silverado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 6-2 to the Oak Hills Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 12-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Silverado saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aryhana Shyne, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Shyne has posted since back in April of 2024. Jasmine Crespo also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Silverado's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Oak Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season.

Silverado has already played their next game, a 13-1 victory against Granite Hills on the 21st. As for Oak Hills, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-4 loss against Rancho Cucamonga on the 20th.
