The biggest upset of the week belonged to Desert Oasis, who took down 29th ranked Bonanza, 44-20.
Bishop Gorman extended the longest winning streak in I Sunset - Southwest this week by beating Centennial, 49-20. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Bishop Gorman's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Anu Solomon threw for 233 and one touchdown and Jamir Tillman had 137 yards receiving. On the ground Nathan Starks chipped in 195 yards. Tajon Allen helped Bishop Gorman's passing attack out by catching three balls for 41 yards.
Tony Sanchez's team's Solomon and Tillman have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Solomon has thrown for 1800 yards this season, while Tillman, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 37 catches for 582 yards. Legacy's Charles Julian leads the league in rushing yards with 1355.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Bulldogs and the Longhorns. Centennial enters the game ranked fourth in the state, while Legacy ranks seventh.
Entering into this week's contest against the Diamondbacks, Solomon is short just 200 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
Coby Newton of the Leon Evans' team is only 67 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Newton has rushed for 933 yards on 135 carries so far this year.
Legacy took down Cimarron-Memorial 31-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Julian ran for 193 yards in the win.
