Recap: Carlisle County Comets vs. Calloway County Lakers
The Carlisle County Comets pushed their score all the way to 68 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Calloway County 72-68. Carlisle County has not had much luck with Calloway County recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Carlisle County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Wyatt Rickard. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Zack Grogan, who scored eight points along with ten assists and three steals.
Carlisle County's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5. As for Calloway County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carlisle County will take on Fulton County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fulton County is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Calloway County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against McCracken County at 7:30 p.m.
