Baseball Recap: Immokalee Takes a Loss

Immokalee lost against Palmetto Ridge back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Immokalee Indians lost 17-2 to the Palmetto Ridge Bears. The Indians' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Immokalee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kristian Trevino, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Immokalee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Palmetto Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Immokalee will host Golden Gate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Immokalee is facing Golden Gate at the right time seeing as Golden Gate is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Palmetto Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Lely at 7:00 p.m. Lely has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something Palmetto Ridge will no doubt try to take advantage of.
