Softball Recap: Octorara Area Beats Lancaster Catholic for Their Third Straight Victory

Octorara Area entered their tilt with Lancaster Catholic on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Crusaders. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Braves have posted since March 10th.

Alivia Romero was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Delaney Amole was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-5. Campbell King was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Octorara Area now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Lancaster Catholic, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2.

Coming up, Octorara Area will venture away from home to challenge Columbia at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lancaster Catholic, they will welcome Lancaster Mennonite at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders are facing the Blazers at the right time seeing as the Blazers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
