The Jefferson Silver Foxes will head out to challenge the El Paso Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 13.
Chapin hit Jefferson with a 12-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Silver Foxes lost 15-5 to the Huskies.

Eden Perez and Luke Moreno stepped up to the plate in a big way. Perez got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI, while Moreno went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Moreno has become a key player for Jefferson: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-14 otherwise.
El Paso came out on top against Andress on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Tigers walked away with an 8-3 win over the Eagles.
Max Gonzales tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched.
At the plate, Moises Castanon and Austin Slagel did most of the damage at the plate: Castanon went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Slagel went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Bruno Mendoza, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
El Paso kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for El Paso, their record now sits at 12-10-1.
Jefferson suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to El Paso in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Silver Foxes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
