Cyprus's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Kearns Cougars an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Pirates have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Breelyn ( Bree ) Garcia made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base was her first of the season.

In other batting news, Calee Sharp was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Frankee Kelsch, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Cyprus kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Cyprus' victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Kearns, they dropped their record down to 6-14 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Cyprus nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
