Basketball Recap: Epic South Extends Winning Streak to 13

Epic South had already won 12 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.9 points) and they went ahead and made it 13 on Thursday. They slipped by the Lane Knights 49-48. The 49-point effort marked Epic South's lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Epic South's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Lane, they moved to 9-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Epic South has already played their next game, a 111-37 victory against Jamaica on the 18th. As for Lane, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Richmond Hill at 4:00 p.m. on January 28th. Lane is facing Richmond Hill at the right time seeing as Richmond Hill is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
