Football Recap: Walker Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Walker extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They were beaten by the Mount Paran Christian Eagles 42-12. The Wolverines lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 56-0 score last time.

Despite the loss, Walker still got an impressive performance from Christian Barjon, who rushed for 72 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries.

As for Mount Paran Christian, they now have a winning record of 4-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Christian Holmes was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 130 yards and one TD while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Those 130 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Harris Meers was another key player, picking up 34 receiving yards and one score.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Walker will head out to challenge Landmark Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines will need to watch out since the War Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. As for Mount Paran Christian, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Business Engineering Science Tech at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th.
