Tesoro owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Aliso Niguel Wolverines 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Titans have posted against the Wolverines since February 15, 2022.

Not much got past Loula McNamara, who gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Aliso Niguel off the board. McNamara has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tesoro's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Reese Fraser, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Tesoro is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Aliso Niguel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-9-1.

Coming up, Tesoro will square off against Mission Viejo at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aliso Niguel, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Capistrano Valley at 4:30 p.m. on the 17th.
