Grosse Pointe North won against Grosse Pointe South on Monday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Norsemen narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Anchor Bay Tars 5-3. The game was the first time the Norsemen have beaten the Tars on their field since April 23, 2016.

The victory made it two in a row for Grosse Pointe North and bumps their season record up to 5-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Anchor Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Grosse Pointe North didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-2 defeat against Romeo on the 24th.
