Softball Game Preview: San Luis Sidewinders vs. Kofa Kings

San Luis hasn't had much luck against Kofa recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Sidewinders will host the Kings at 3:45 p.m. San Luis will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, San Luis turned things around against Yuma last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Criminals. Considering the Sidewinders have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Kofa's offense. They lost 10-0 to Red Mountain on Friday. The Kings just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

San Luis picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-8. As for Kofa, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

San Luis came out on top in a nail-biter against Kofa in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Sidewinders repeat their success, or do the Kings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
