Preview: Cherokee Indians vs. Brookesmith Mustangs
The Cherokee Indians will be playing at home against the Brookesmith Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cherokee is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Cherokee came up short against Richland Springs and fell 47-38.
In what's become a running theme this season, Brookesmith gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They really took it to Lohn for the full four quarters, racking up a 86-22 win at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-4.
Trey Toft continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jase Moreno, who scored 17 points.
Cherokee's defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-6. As for Brookesmith, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.
