Baseball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield lost to Ross back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Blue Devils fell 5-1 to the Little Giants. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Springfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Young, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Parker Young also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Ross, their win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4.

While Springfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
