Basketball Game Preview: Wiggins Tigers vs. Wray Eagles

Wiggins is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-57 heartbreaker at the hands of Wray. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since December 13, 2024.

Wray's win came from a few key players Wiggins will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aaron Tena, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten boards. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Adonay Gonzalez was another key player, putting up 12 points and five steals.

Wray smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Wiggins' loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Wray, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12.
