Baseball Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Paso Robles' Winning Streak

Paso Robles fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Templeton on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Marcus Garcia and Blayne Lowry stepped up to the plate in a big way. Garcia went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Lowry went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Soboleski, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

With the defeat, Paso Robles broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-11. As for Templeton, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season.
