Volleyball Recap: Elsinore Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Elsinore faced off against Linfield Christian on Thursday. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row dating back to last season.

Elsinore started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Linfield Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noelle Hong, who had 11 digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Hong a new career-high in assists (38). Payton Eden was another key player, getting 20 digs and four assists.

Elsinore's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Linfield Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elsinore will take on Woodcrest Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Linfield Christian, they will challenge Capistrano Valley Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
