Basketball Game Preview: Batavia Bulldogs vs. Clinton-Massie Falcons

The Batavia Bulldogs and the Clinton-Massie Falcons will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Batavia is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Goshen. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Clinton-Massie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Wilmington at home by a 43-28 margin. The matchup marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Batavia will need focus on slowing down Cale Wilson, one of several Clinton-Massie players who made an impact when they last played. He went 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristen Trampler, who posted eight points.

Batavia now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Clinton-Massie, they now also have a losing record at 2-3.

Batavia didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Clinton-Massie when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 60-55 win. Will Batavia repeat their success, or does Clinton-Massie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
