Basketball Recap: Fairmont Heights Comes Up Short

Fairmont Heights lost against Friendly back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fairmont Heights Hornets took a 42-26 bruising from the Friendly Patriots.

When it comes to explaining why Fairmont Heights lost, don't look at Angela Green. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points and three steals. That was a full 53.8% of Fairmont Heights' points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Jasmine Germany was her usual excellent self, putting up 20 points and six steals for Friendly. Andrea Hardy was another key player, scoring six points along with three steals and three blocks.

Fairmont Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Friendly, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Fairmont Heights will square off against Crossland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Friendly, they will head out on the road to challenge Gwynn Park at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
