Volleyball Recap: Monta Vista's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road + How To Watch

If Monta Vista was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Menlo School on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Matadors lost 3-0 to the Los Altos Eagles on Monday. The Matadors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Monta Vista saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Srahi Bobbili had 23 digs and two assists. Bobbili is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Leading Los Altos to victory were Ana Heath and Anastasia Marinopoulos. Heath had eight digs and two aces, while Marinopoulos had three digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Heath a new career-high in assists (four). Aviya Russo also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Monta Vista's defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7. As for Los Altos, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
